happy monday + the rock & shop market

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a great start to your week by finding some fabulous deals online since it’s Cyber Monday! I haven’t had a chance to partake in anything since I am currently under the weather but never the less the lovely must go on! I received word today that I was accepted into The Rock and Shop Market which is happening this Saturday in Durham NC. If you haven’t heard of this awesome show then you need to! I’ve been a participating designer at The Rock & Shop for a couple of years now and every year it keeps getting bigger and better!

Not only is this Saturday’s show a perfect time to get out and buy something handmade from local designers but it’s also at two pretty cool venues: Motorco Music Hall & Fullsteam Brewery in Durham. There will also be a fashion show, live bands (The Ox Magnolia and Onward, Soldiers), a DJ, food trucks (Only Burger, DaisyCakes, Slippin Sliders and Klausies Pizza) plus 60 designers with a ton of handmade items up for grabs. Hope to see you there!

poster design :: black swan

I cannot wait to see Natalie Portman’s upcoming movie Black Swan and when I saw the teaser posters for the movie I was very impressed. These designs reminded me of what movie posters should be about. Gorgeous Design. I only wish they were selling them because I would definitely snag one. Or two.

diy sweet chocolate pots

I really love it when you can create a work of art that’s edible! Heather Baird from Sprinkle Bakes came up with this awesome do it yourself chocolate vessel tutorial. All you need is some water balloons, heat up some Ghiradelli semi-sweet baking chips, dip the balloons in the melted chocolate and let them to rest on parchment paper. Allow the chocolate to dry for 20 minutes and then cut the balloon below the knot and allow the air to escape slowly. Viola! A wonderful easy chocolate vessel for you to enjoy this holiday season! So sweet!

happy thanksgiving!

image via little reminders of love
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! This was my first holiday as a married woman and my husband and I cooked our first official turkey! We also made some of our favorites: peas and mashed potatoes (so much better than peas and carrots), dark chocolate chip cookies, cranberry sauce and garlic bread. Needless to say the food coma has taken over our house and I’m a pretty happy wife! We didn’t even set off the smoke alarm! YAY! I hope each and everyone of you have a lovely holiday with your friends and family! Lastly thank you so much for all of your support of Ever So Lovely over these last months. I have so much planned ahead and can’t wait to share it with you! Gobble gobble!
Here are some images from our day today! Enjoy!

peanut butter waffles are my favorite breakfast food!

my husband’s favorite – cheerios and bananas

red potatoes – before

red potatoes – after

dark chocolate chip cookies

officially in the oven!!!

if only it took this long to cook a turkey – officially done!

our first turkey came out perfect!

followed by awesome cookies for dessert!

hands down my favorite side dish! mashed potatoes and peas!

topped off with garlic bread – another fav!
SUCH A LOVELY DAY!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO YOU!
