diy sweet chocolate pots

do it yourself chocolate vessels for the holidays

I really love it when you can create a work of art that’s edible! Heather Baird from Sprinkle Bakes came up with this awesome do it yourself chocolate vessel tutorial. All you need is some water balloons, heat up some Ghiradelli semi-sweet baking chips, dip the balloons in the melted chocolate and let them to rest on parchment paper. Allow the chocolate to dry for 20 minutes and then cut the balloon below the knot and allow the air to escape slowly. Viola! A wonderful easy chocolate vessel for you to enjoy this holiday season! So sweet!

wedding wednesday :: budget centerpieces

peaches make simple, colorful, easy & inexpensive decorations {via stylemepretty}

When it comes to planning your wedding, centerpieces can start adding dollars to your budget depending on the size of your reception and how far you want your decorations to go. It can be a tough decision to make whether your design is simple or elaborate, colorful or monochromatic. However, there are simple and inexpensive ways to create chic yet money saving centerpieces to make your day special and unique. For my wedding, I am designing each centerpiece to save us money since flowers are expensive and the ones I want for October are out of season. Here are some of my favorites and I hope they inspire your wedding planning!

wedding inspiration + wedding dress

As most of you know I am engaged and planning my upcoming October wedding. Today is such an exciting day for me as I am going to try on my wedding dress after the first initial round of alterations have been made. I’m pretty excited, stressed and a little nervous to see how everything turned out but I have faith it will be fabulous! I plan on posting pictures of the dress after the wedding (I have to keep it a secret from the mister) along with other images of decorations and ideas that I have saved up to inspire my special day! Today’s collection is of centerpieces and receptions that I absolutely adore! Happy day to you all and congratulations if you are on the journey of planning your wedding too!
