sunny champagne

Sunny Champagne is the creative outlet of Canadian graphic designer and photographer Pascal Champagne. I love his vintage signs handing out free hugs and his images appear to be taken out of a dream from the sixties. So very pretty!

the sketchbook project

I have to admit, I have a little too many sketchbooks in my house. Some are from high school, grade school, my beloved time at Meredith and the smaller version I always have stowed away in my purse in case the creative bug bites. I was over the moon with joy when I found out about The Sketchbook Project via my sweet friend Angela. So what is the Sketchbook Project you might ask? Well it’s run by Art House Co-op and you pay for a sketchbook and select a theme you want (or choose a random one), they mail it to you and you send it back with all of your superfabulous art and then…
YOUR BOOK GOES ON EXHIBIT! YES EXHIBIT!

This year The Sketchbook Project is traveling to Brooklyn, Austin, San Francisco, Portland, Atlanta and Chicago. Your book will receive a bar code, cataloged and placed in the Brooklyn Art Library. This project was so amazing last year that CNN ran a feature on them. If that wasn’t enough for an additional $20 bucks they digitize your book in Spring of 2011 and it will be online for the whole world to see. I can’t wait to get my sketchbook in the mail and get started!!! So exciting! Be sure to order your book by October 31, 2010 because the exhibit starts March 2011. To learn more visit here.
