The Handmade Market and an Easter Egg Hunt

Happy Wednesday everyone! I’m busy working away on new illustrations for this Saturday where I will be participating in The Handmade Market. It is an awesome show that features so many talented designers from North Carolina and beyond. There will be over 40 designers showcasing their wares from jewelry, home goods, ceramics and some really cute accessories! I’m sure you would be able to find something for an upcoming graduate, Mother’s Day gift or something just for you!

For the kids, Raleigh’s biggest and best Easter Egg Hunt will also be going on in downtown Raleigh at Moore Square at different times. This is a FREE event with more than 30,000 hidden eggs, live music and balloons. There will be four different egg hunts, each divided into zones by age group, as well as separate zones for children with special needs. Hunts will take place at 11 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m., along with an Easter story reading at noon. Admission is also FREE for The Handmade Market and it takes place from 11 AM to 5 PM. Here are just a few of the artists that will be participating:

wedding projects + jewelry = crafty week!

Happy Wednesday all! I’m super excited about this week because I was accepted into the LoPop Shop that will be taking place inside of Raleigh’s Artspace this First Friday! If you are asking “What is LoPop Shop?” then that’s easy! LoPop Shop primarily highlights regional artists from North Carolina and is an opportunity to buy original works, shirts, posters, and more! I attended this annual show last year and they had some really fantastic artists and designers and I’m VERY EXCITED to be a part of this event!

Here are some of my art and jewelry designs from my company Creativ*Bee that I will selling at the event! If you see something you like let me know since some pieces are vintage and some are one of a kind!

Some of my new favorite earrings!
One of my limited edition prints for sale – The Chase
What show of mine would be complete without one of my Divas?
One of my hand painted silk scarves – custom colors available

garrett scales + lady gaga = perfection

Two things I love a lot and inspire me greatly are Lady Gaga and artwork by Garrett Scales. You might remember I featured Garrett’s work on Ever So Lovely earlier this year and his stencil style airbrushed ladies are spectacular to say the least. Garrett definitely captured Lady Gaga’s spirit in his latest painting and I would love to take this with me when I see Lady Gaga perform next month in Raleigh but then I would be that crazed fan (hehe). I bet Gaga would love his portrait of her and maybe even use it as her album cover art. I know I would if I were her!
